Our Message

In an area so incredibly blessed with the natural beauty the Alleghany Highlands Arts Council has worked for the last 6 decades to nourish the community with gifts of music, theatre and dance from the world beyond our boarders.

Since its beginnings, our Performing Arts Series has been recognized as one of the most highly successful entertainment and cultural series in the state.

World-renowned artists like Ben Vereen, Ed Asner, Judy Collins, Della Reese, Burl Ives, the Harlem Gospel Choir, the Royal Shakespeare Company of London, the Joffrey II Ballet Company, Chinese Golden Dragon Acrobats,  Atlanta Symphony, Chanticleer, Chamber Orchestra Kremlin, Barter Theatre, Bulgarian Children's Choir, the Blind Boys of Alabama and so many others have come into our community through the years to share their talent with our residents. This is a history for which our region can be justifiably proud.

One might ask what else we could possibly need. The answer is - YOU. As we reach out to our neighbors in an effort to touch new minds and hearts with inspiration, we also seek to attract others into our community who share our appreciation for live entertainment and cultural enrichment. So we invite you to join us of r this outstanding season. Everyone is welcome to participate because "Arts4All" includes YOU.
